Sign Up for The ‘Pink’ Pom-Pom Project
Calling all Breast Cancer Survival Supporters – WE NEED YOU! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals wanting to make a difference in a Breast Cancer Survivor’s life this winter and early Spring months!
I, myself, am a Breast Cancer survivor and found my head to be quite chilled after having cut my hair short in preparation for the inevitable hair loss from my Chemotherapy treatments. I am lucky enough to have been taught how to knit when I was just 14 years old and produced a hat in a few hours for my soon-to-be bald head.
It prompted me to think about all of the other Breast Cancer Survivors this winter that would probably appreciate a hat made especially for them to keep warm. A hat, or even easier, a scarf, made from love and care. So with no time to waste, I created The Pom-Pom Project, which will then be led by colours (for other cancers) in the near future. This idea is to keep warm during Chemotherapy treatments to ensure better health and wellbeing. Scarves, hats, and even shrugs are all welcome! And Pink will be the launching Pom-Pom colour!
So now, we are looking for any one who would like to participate and men are welcome too – they have mothers, sisters and daughters fighting this awful disease too!
Sign up to be a Giver, Receiver, or Donator. All details follow in each of the separate sub-categories. Just submit your information in the ‘Leave A Reply‘ comment box. For example, for all Receivers, just leave name, e-mail address, and phone number along with country and city codes. And we will e-mail for further information and take it from there!
We hope you will participate, pass along this wonderful project to other Breast Cancer survivors or even become a Giver or Donator. It’s all for a tremendous cause and I know from personal experience it is a very nice gesture and something held true to a survivors heart!
