I was trying to come up with a clever way to announce that my sign was up and a little square LLC and The Pink Pom-Pom Project are both officially open!!! Being from Texas, I thought it only appropriate to say: Cowboys Don’t Take Baths, They Just Dust Off!
Needless to say, if you have had the pleasure of watching Me while this process has unfolded in the past few months, the opening has been a rough ride. Metaphorically through blinding dust storms, unforseen obstacles and shallow to deep ditches to then finally come out at the other end, worn, ragged and tougher… to dust off in preparation for what’s to come! AND now, we are patiently waiting for Hurricane Sandy, at least I am on the Second Floor, flooding (hopefully) will not be an issue!
This past week, I received my Certificate of Occupation (CoO) and moved all of the furniture, retail fixtures, assortment of stock, yarns, crafting supplies, even toilet paper and paper towels, from my basement into the retail and crafting spaces. I must say it looks fabulous!
So this little cowgirl has dusted off her Stetson, brushed her shoulders and is giving it a go! And even now the store is OPEN, I have been busy, no time wasted on the scheduling front. I have managed to plan and schedule a few events for the month of November:
November 8th – Opening Party from 6-9pm – An evening of shopping, fabulous cocktails, nibbles and door prizes! 25% of all sales will directly support The Pink Pom-Pom Project. Everyone is welcome! Tell your friends!
November 13th – The Cancer Support Center of Southport/CT Challenge private Stitch&Bitch for local Breast Cancer survivors.
November 14th, 16th and December 7th – The Girl Scouts of Connecticut – girls ages 7 to 13 years will design their own Star Toppers and a special craft from scratch for a cancer survivor. Donations will go directly to The Cancer Support Center of Southport.
We are located at 1981 Post Road, Second Floor, facing back parking lot. We are open Monday – Saturday from 10am to 6pm. For special events like Crafting parties, Birthday parties, and even Club events, please contact Alex at 203-955-1099 or via e-mail at info@alittlesquare.com for more information!
