Ewan is Banana Man. He is my youngest child, he absolutely hates cake, will not eat ice cream, and is incredibly selective when it comes to chocolate, no bars are allowed only bits – M&M’s and Smarties have both made the cut. Whew!!! BUT one thing is for sure, he LOVES Bananas!
He starts with one, then begs for the second like a puppy in a pin waiting to be picked up. There’s almost this compromise going on when you start peeling the first one. He looks at you, then he’ll glare at the other bananas leftover in the basket almost, concentrating hard enough to cast his own hocus-pokus magical spell so they’ll float over to him. If you don’t give another one up, he crosses his arms, pouts and refuses to leave the kitchen! It’s bananas!
I don’t see the harm in giving him the second because bananas are an ultimate fruit. They’re full of fiber, potassium, and Vitamins B6 and C. They do not contain sodium, cholesterol, or any fat. They have three natural sugars: sucrose, fructose and glucose which give an instant boost of energy when you need it! They’re the perfect snack!
AND…
Did you know that although bananas love a tropical climate, they are grown in Iceland too, by heating the soil with geysers.
